Black Key Optional is a live music and entertainment company providing several kinds of musical options. We offer soloists, cover/original bands, small ensembles, and dueling pianos. We promise to provide you with outstanding entertainment, prompt communication, and to accommodate your vision for your event. Our goal is to make your wedding, corporate events, and other celebrations just as memorable as they are special.

Our Story
Black Key Optional
My name is Kyle Buhrer and I am the owner of Black Key Optional. I started this company because I love music and I love how music can make an event extra special. My goal is to produce your vision, and to do so, we need three core values: 1) customization, 2) flawless execution, and 3) talented & engaging entertainers. Customization means you get to create the set list or even the outfits we wear – whatever will add the cherry on top. We are prompt, precise, and professional, making sure we are never late and always communicating quickly with the customer. Finally, our musicians are experienced and gifted. We want you to not only be happy, but have lasting memories.
Our Services
Dueling Pianos
Want to have a good time and get your guests or coworkers singing and dancing; then this collaboration provides what is needed. We play the classics, jazz, R&B, country, and good ole’ rock n’ roll.
Full Band
Perfect for wedding receptions, corporate events, birthdays, religious celebrations, any event. Our cover band will have the audience dancing and having a great time.
Soloist
We offer piano, guitar, and string instrument soloists. Our piano and guitar soloist can sing as an option. A soloist is perfect for a wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, corporate event or birthday.
